Google changed the rules in November 2023.
We built the solution.
Since November 13, 2023, personal Google Play developer accounts can no longer publish directly to production. Before Google will unlock production access, a developer must maintain at least 12 unique testers continuously opted in to a closed testing track for 14 consecutive days — with no gaps, no dropouts below 12, and a completed feedback questionnaire that satisfies Google's reviewers.
On paper that sounds manageable. In practice, recruiting 12 real people, keeping them opted in for two straight weeks, replacing anyone who drops out before your window resets, and making sure their questionnaire responses don't get flagged — while also building your app and handling everything else a launch involves — is a genuine bottleneck that derails timelines and wastes weeks.
12Testers exists to remove that bottleneck entirely. You share an opt-in URL. We handle the rest.
Four things we don't compromise on
Real devices, always
No emulators, no virtual machines, no device farms. Google Play Protect actively identifies emulated environments and flags them in your Console. Every tester in our network uses their personal Android handset.
Same-day dropout replacement
We monitor active tester counts daily. If any tester goes inactive, we assign a replacement before the next day starts — so your opted-in count never drops below 12 and the 14-day window never resets on our account.
Your data stays yours
We never ask for Play Console access, your APK or AAB, or your developer credentials. The closed testing opt-in URL is the only thing we need. Every tester signs an NDA before joining your test.
One price. No surprises.
A single flat fee per test run. No subscription, no monthly charge, no automatic renewal. If Google rejects your production application for testing-related reasons, the re-run is included at no extra cost.
